Own mechanical design for energy-dense ESS and future battery packs for Archer’s eVTOL.
Develop designs meeting mechanical, electrical, and thermal specs for lithium-ion battery systems.
Utilize lightweight materials and packaging to reduce weight.
Perform hand calculations then optimize with FEA software.
Collaborate with test/integration teams to meet bench and aircraft performance requirements.
Support sustaining efforts on current battery design.
Conduct basic testing and validation of battery systems and components.
Design and build prototypes to prove out concepts.
Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of battery systems.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2 years in mechanical design, HV systems, CAD/tolerance/GD&T in aerospace/energy/auto.
