Senior Mechanical Engineer, FEA Analyst

📋 Description

• Drive advanced structural and thermal FEA for iron-air battery components and enclosures.
• Build and maintain high-fidelity FEA models (static/dynamic/non-linear/thermal).
• Validate models via physical tests; ensure analytical accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across battery, electrical, chemical, systems.
• Influence design with clear FEA recommendations during design reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 8+ years in mechanical simulation.
• Expert structural FEA (static/dynamic/non-linear, fatigue) and thermal FEA.
• Proficient with ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran.
• Experience analyzing heavy assemblies for high-volume hardware.
• Hands-on FEA model validation and correlation with tests.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals; know requirements and FMEA.
• Experience with topology/topography/shape/size optimization.
• Excellent technical communication; translate simulation results for non-analysts.
