Senior Mechanical Engineer, R&D

📋 Description

• Design, build, and validate prototype electrochemical cell architectures.
• Own end-to-end design cycle; meet mechanical and electrochemical requirements.
• Perform engineering analysis (hand calcs, FEA, CFD, tolerances).
• Drive prototyping in-house and via external manufacturers; manage vendors.
• Maintain design records: CAD files, drawings, and test data.
• Coordinate and mentor junior engineers and technicians; propose improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s + 4 years, Master’s +1 year, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Demonstrated depth across full mechanical design cycle; own designs independently.
• Proficiency in CAD, including engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on prototyping with laser cutting, 3D printing, machining, welding.
• Strong engineering analysis skills (FEA, CFD, tolerance analysis, materials testing).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
