Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician - Instruments Team

📋 Description

• Assist with early prototype builds: fabrication, assembly, procurement and inspection of materials
• Assemble prototypes per engineering design/instructions
• Work alongside engineers to fabricate and modify components using lathe, mill, and laser welder
• Debugging and performance testing of engineering prototypes
• Collect, record, and report test results

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8 years' experience supporting a mechanical engineering group in a product development
• Associate of Science degree, or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on prototyping/manufacturing skills incl. machine equipment, laser welding, soldering
• Manual dexterity to assemble small components with microscope or magnification
• Knowledge of catheter materials and manufacturing processes (laminating, braiding, bonding
• Ability to inspect components using metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, vision systems, CMM)
