Senior Medical Scientist / Senior Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology

📋 Description

• Perform routine microbiological testing and sample analysis, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
• Authorise, evaluate and report results, escalating clinically significant findings where
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems, policies, procedures and accreditation
• Utilise the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and maintain accurate laboratory
• Support quality assurance activities, including EQA, audits, non-conformance investigations
• Assist with the validation and verification of new methods, equipment and processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Science
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Basic Grade Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist in a medical
• Master’s degree qualification - At least 2 years' experience as Senior Medical in medical
• Medical Scientist - CORU registered or Biomedical Scientist - HCPC registered
• A diligent, strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
