Role in Waymo AI Foundations team focusing on ML solutions for autonomous driving.
Hybrid work schedule; reports to Principal Research Scientist.
Develop and deploy models for 3D Perception using Camera/LiDAR/Radar data.
Build scalable data pipelines for Training & Eval across multiple sources.
Design evaluation frameworks for perception models and optimize training/inference.
Collaborate with partner teams to deploy models to production.

🎯 Requirements

PhD or Masters in CS/ML/Robotics with 2+ years of RL or foundation models research.
Proficiency with scalable distributed training (Data parallel, FSDP, sharding).
Willingness to work with globally distributed inference infrastructure.
