Senior Motor Architect

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of Wing’s high-performance electric motors.
• Define system requirements for integration with ESCs.
• Evaluate materials and designs balancing performance and cost.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to scale processes using DFM.
• Collaborate with QA to develop manufacturing QA tests.
• Drive testing/validation to verify motor performance.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years designing, developing, testing electric motors in production.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Eng or equivalent.
• Experience with BLDC/PMSM topologies and ESC/motor drives.
• FEA/thermal tools: Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD, JMAG; MATLAB/Python.
• Knowledge of motor manufacturing/assembly and supplier scaling.
• Strong cross-functional communication across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, QA.
