Senior NPI Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead mechanical NPI activities across the full product lifecycle from concept through pilot builds
• Review designs focusing on manufacturability assembly and testability (DFM/DFA/DFT) to prevent
• Define and implement a gate process (EVT/DVT/PVT) and own engineering deliverables at each stage
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering design supply chain and
• Evaluate and select manufacturing processes tools and fixtures appropriate for current build
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in prototype and early pilot builds

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with significant time in NPI roles
• Demonstrated track record of product launches from concept through mass production ideally in
• Strong working knowledge of DFM/DFA/DFT principles, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience with quality methodologies like FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, and SPC
• Proven supplier management capability including sourcing, qualification, and issue resolution
