Senior Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and operate a self-service internal development platform.
• Collaborate with MongoDB teams to define platform needs.
• Design reliable platform services with cloud abstraction.
• Write and review automation, configuration management, and app code.
• Own and operate the internal platform that runs MongoDB.
• Work with remote engineers across time zones (PST, EST, GMT, IST).

🎯 Requirements

• Built and operated large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong Go backend skills; experience with another compiled language.
• Experience with AI coding agents and building high-quality context.
• Designed and implemented medium-to-large software projects; lead design reviews.
• Production Kubernetes operations; familiarity with SLI/SLOs.
• Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
