Senior Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and maintain a self-service internal development platform for MongoDB teams.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to shape infra requirements and workflows.
• Deliver platform services, tooling, and automation to improve reliability.
• Enhance developer productivity through automation and education.
• Own and operate internal platform components running MongoDB.
• Work with distributed teams across time zones (PST, EST, GMT, IST).

🎯 Requirements

• Built and operated large-scale distributed systems on AWS (AWS strongly preferred).
• Strong backend background; Go fluency; other typed backend language ok.
• Experience with AI coding agents and building high-quality context.
• Design and drive medium-to-large software projects; mentor engineers.
• Strong experience operating production Kubernetes clusters.
• Observability tooling: metrics, logging, traces; Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
