Senior Platform Engineer - Kubernetes

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and operate WHOOP Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
• Drive architecture decisions to improve scalability, resiliency, performance, and security.
• Build tooling to increase deployment safety and velocity to Kubernetes.
• Advance CI/CD capabilities for frequent, reliable production deployments.
• Mentor and lead engineers on the App Infra team.
• Partner with app, security, and data teams to embed secure-by-default infra.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform, SRE, Cloud Eng, or Backend roles.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core components.
• Experience with multi-cluster Kubernetes environments and inter-cluster patterns.
• Hands-on AWS infra (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudTrail).
• IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with Java, C#, or Python backend or infra services.
