Senior Power Engineer

📋 Description

• Define 15kW spacecraft power architecture (topology, bus voltage)
• Own end-to-end power budget and power quality requirements
• Determine reuse vs new hardware; specify avionics requirements
• Coordinate with solar array and battery teams on performance
• Own power distribution and fault protection, safe-mode mgmt
• Build a power engineering team as the program scales

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• 6+ years spacecraft power system design experience
• Experience with power architecture trades (DET vs MPPT)
• Power budget development across operating modes
• Battery management system experience (charge control, cell balancing)
• Understanding of solar array performance (I-V curves, radiation degradation)
