Senior/Principal Linux Engineer

📋 Description

• Build, patch, and test userspace packages in the operating system
• Improve tooling and automation as part of the package-building process
• Understand and remediate CVE's in RPM packages shipped to customers
• Customize, optimize, and create various packages to improve customer experience
• Build out testing for specific software and system as a whole
• Work closely with engineering, product, open-source community, and sales teams

🎯 Requirements

• Understanding of Linux OS packaging (RPM or DEB)
• Familiarity with CVE's and remediation for older versions of code
• Deep understanding of Linux operating system internals and package interactions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team
• Proven experience with Linux administration, Linux internals, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools and
• Familiarity with Ansible playbooks and/or DoD STIG/SCAP/RADIX processes
