📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate backend services in Kotlin or Java, and own them in production.
• Turn ambiguous underwriting problems into simple, reliable software.
• Shape architectural decisions: APIs, domain models, persistence, reliability, observability.
• Build real depth in the underwriting domain.
• Design and build agent-assisted workflows.
• Use AI coding tools, including Claude, as a core part of work.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong professional experience building and running backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or another JVM
• Judgement in architecture and system design.
• Evidence of shipping software that solved a real customer or business problem.
• A self-starting approach.
• Clear communication with underwriters, executives, and engineers.
• Genuine appetite for problems with no known answer.
