Senior Product Manager, Scalability & Compute

📋 Description

• Own the roadmap for worker deployment options, including self-hosted and serverless
• Lead worker versioning to enable safe, zero-downtime deployments with great DX
• Evolve the Temporal Worker Controller for Kubernetes to add worker management
• Define the path for serverless worker execution, removing infra management from DX
• Partner with engineering to improve worker tuning, resource efficiency, and scaling
• Collaborate with customers and community to validate deployment directions

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in compute platforms: serverless (Lambda/Cloud Run/App Engine) and Kubernetes/ECS
• Experience with Version Control, CI, and CD systems
• Experience building developer-facing products focused on deployment simplicity and ops excellence
• Familiarity with autoscaling, workload scheduling, and resource optimization at scale
• Understanding of code versioning, deployment strategies, and DX challenges of long-running stateful systems
• Proven ability to translate complex infrastructure into intuitive developer experiences
• A pragmatic, customer-focused PM approach with strong technical communication
