Senior Product Security Engineer

📋 Description

• Embed within a product engineering team and shape product security from design to production.
• Influence architecture, design and implementation decisions to ensure security from the outset.
• Partner with Product Eng, Platform Eng and InfoSec to identify risks and build secure-by-default systems.
• Contribute code, reviews and guidance where security expertise is required.
• Act as a security advocate balancing risk, usability and delivery.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience securing modern software systems and applications.
• Strong secure software architecture, threat modelling and security practices.
• Deep familiarity with cloud-native architectures and AWS security controls.
• Experience designing systems handling sensitive or regulated data.
• Comfortable reading and writing production code; Python or similar backend tech.
• Familiar with security considerations of PostgreSQL.
• Pragmatic judgement balancing security with product and engineering needs.
• Ability to influence engineers across teams without formal authority.
• Familiarity with SOC2 and ISO 42001 is a bonus.
