Senior Project Forester

📋 Description

• Lead reforestation design with carbon modeling and site ecology
• Collaborate with carbon science for MRV approaches
• Lead field contractors and coordination with crews
• Conduct site reconnaissance, GIS analyses, and due diligence
• Oversee planting, monitoring, and post-establishment surveys

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in forest management or carbon projects
• Strong quantitative and geospatial skills (R/Python, GIS)
• Experience managing contractors and multi-project delivery
• Advanced degree in forestry or related field preferred
• Knowledge of Appalachian/Southeast US forests and disturbance dynamics
• Experience with drone data collection is a plus
