Senior Remote Sensing Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Develop imaging products from infrared missions for FireSat IOC and SBEM.
• Design and implement scalable mosaicking, orthorectification, normalization.
• Product owner for SBEM and FireSat imagery.
• Write production-ready code for data product pipelines and services.
• Engage with customer stakeholders including TIMs and program meetings.
• Ensure scientific quality and validation of Orthomosaic Tile products.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD with 3+ years of industry experience; or MS with 6+ years; or BS +8 years.
• 5+ years building geospatial data products from remote sensing data.
• Hands-on experience with image mosaicking, orthorectification, or related geospatial image processing techniques.
• Experience with real-world data from new imaging instruments.
• Familiarity with Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF, XArray, GDAL.
• Exceptional Python-based development and analysis.
