Senior Research Engineer, Threat Intelligence

📋 Description

• Own path from research to production artifact (detection rule/alert).
• Build and maintain STRIKE platform components (distribution, sandbox, OSINT).
• Turn research into shipped content (YARA, Sigma, STIX).
• Drive STIX 2.1 adoption and TAXII 2.1 distribution.
• Coordinate with eng/PM to ship research into product.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Cybersecurity; self-taught welcome.
• 5–8 years in hands-on threat intel, security research, or detection engineering.
• Python and TypeScript/Node in production.
• Relational and cache stores; at least one streaming or batch data platform.
• AWS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• STIX 2.1, TAXII 2.1, MISP, MITRE ATT&CK knowledge.
• YARA, Sigma, and STIX Patterning; production detectors.
