Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (IoT Integrations)

📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end architecture of Rails apps and APIs for connected-device fleets.
• Design IoT communication layers using MQTT, WebSockets, CoAP, HTTP, etc.
• Architect high-volume telemetry ingestion, queuing, event processing, real-time pipelines.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy for IoT platforms, message brokers, data stores.
• Design scalable DB schemas for time-series and event-heavy workloads.
• Integrate cloud IoT services (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub) including provisioning and OTA updates.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering, including 6+ years Rails.
• Proven IoT integrations experience at scale.
• Deep knowledge of MQTT or equivalent protocols.
• Strong API architecture, versioning, contracts, maintainability, scalability.
• Extensive PostgreSQL or MySQL experience, query optimization and tuning.
• Strong Redis, Sidekiq, and distributed background jobs knowledge.
