Senior Safety Methods Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and qualify thermal-hydraulic safety methods for nuclear/advanced energy systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support licensing and reactor safety evaluations.
• Improve modeling capabilities and automate workflows for repeatable analyses.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and validation results for design and licensing.
• Support method qualification activities and quality assurance practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in system-level thermal-hydraulic modeling/method development.
• Experience with numerical methods, closure models, and model optimization.
• Proficiency with RELAP5-3D, GOTHIC, SAS or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of thermal-fluid behavior in reactor systems.
• Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for scientific workflows; QA practices (NQA-1).
