📋 Description

• The Senior Safety Methods Engineer will develop, improve, and qualify engineering methods used for
• Collaborate with technical teams to enhance modeling capabilities, ensure analytical accuracy, and
• Develop system-level thermal-hydraulic analysis methods, including modeling strategies, numerical
• Perform steady-state and transient system analyses to evaluate model behavior and performance
• Support method qualification activities, including verification, applicability assessments, and
• Develop and integrate closure models and empirical correlations for heat transfer, pressure drop

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in system-level thermal-hydraulic modeling and method development for
• Experience developing/improving engineering analysis methods, including numerical approaches and
• Experience with RELAP5-3D, GOTHIC, SAS, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of thermal-fluid behavior and reactor system phenomena for advanced designs.
• Analytical skills for sensitivity analyses and identifying modeling gaps.
