Senior Satellite Systems Designer - Payload Lead (Contingent)

📋 Description

• Lead payload management across missions with multiple providers.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with payload suppliers, customers, and teams.
• Define and manage payload interfaces across mechanical, electrical, RF, data, and software domains.
• Drive mission analysis for the integrated payload suite and timelines.
• Translate payload concepts into system-level power, thermal, data, and timing constraints.
• Work with AIT, V&V, flight software, avionics, and program teams to verify payloads.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Aerospace/Electrical Eng, Physics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, spacecraft/payload engineering, or technical leadership.
• Hands-on payload-level integration, verification, or operations planning.
• Experience with optical, RF, SIGINT, radar, or sensor payload domains.
• Strong understanding of payload-to-spacecraft interfaces (mechanical, electrical, RF, data, software).
• Experience coordinating with external suppliers/customers and producing interface docs and verification evidence.
