📋 Description

• Role for a search specialist at genuine scale on Xero's Search team.
• Maintain and evolve one of the largest search clusters in the Southern Hemisphere.
• Keep hundreds of millions of searchable documents at global scale with 99.9% uptime.
• Contribute to a significant platform rebuild shaping Xero's growth.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong search engineering experience in production environments.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals for both search-specific and generalist work.
• High quality coding and review standards.
• Collaborative mindset across distributed teams (engineering, product, infrastructure).
• Bonus: exposure to data or AI tooling.
• Based in Australia or NZ with flexible day-to-day work arrangements.
