Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

📋 Description

• Build and maintain test infra, release tooling, and performance tests as production-grade software.
• Design and own test automation frameworks; migrate Cypress to Playwright; handle infra provisioning & CI/CD testing.
• Define automation strategy for unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests for fast, reliable coverage.
• Maintain release orchestration tooling for build promotion, deployment gating, and rollbacks across environments.
• Build observability into test frameworks to track flakiness, execution time, and failure patterns.
• Tackle hard infra problems and AI-assisted testing tooling with autonomy to pursue impactful work.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as a software engineer building test infra, tooling, or release systems.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills; build backend services for test infra from scratch.
• Experience building or scaling CI/CD, release pipelines, or test infra at scale.
• Understand the testing pyramid; select automation per layer.
• Experience building observability into test frameworks and tracking flakiness.
• Hands-on with AI tools in quality workflows; know when to review AI output.
• Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and working independently.
