Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the architecture and technical direction of a significant, moderately-scoped service within the
• Champion the delivery of full components and support the lead engineer in coordinating feedback and
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders and customer teams to clarify requirements and
• Identify and mitigate technical risks (including gaps against SLAs or other reliability
• Facilitate healthy, data-driven design debates, making sure the team explores multiple options and
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to less experienced engineers, and act as an expert

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, hands-on expertise in Java and backend service design, with a track record of delivering
• Experience building and operating Kafka-based streaming pipelines and services in a cloud (AWS)
• Strong experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and scaling, including diagnosing and
• A track record of mentoring engineers and providing constructive direction in code reviews and
• Comfortable partnering directly with product managers and stakeholders to shape technical scope
