Senior Software Engineer, Advancement Services

📋 Description

• Design and ship AWS-based pipelines with idempotent consumers
• Build bidirectional integrations with fundraising CRMs
• Handle third-party integration challenges: auth, rate limits, retries, upsert semantics
• Support incremental syncs using row hashing and parallel batch runs
• Reconcile records from multiple sources including file uploads, APIs, and CRM integration
• Plan migrations with rollback/fallback and prove parity

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years building and running production backend systems, including a distributed ETL or sync
• Experience building against APIs you don’t control, handling auth, token expiry, rate limits
• Careful data modeling: external IDs, timezone-safe bulk writes, safe schema changes
• Clear written communication: design docs, PR descriptions, and incident notes
• Strongly preferred: AI-native experience with coding agents, using context files, skills
• Strongly preferred: AWS infrastructure as code experience, owning deploy, monitoring, on-call
