Senior Software Engineer, Android

📋 Description

• Own the design and delivery of features across Toast's Android system applications in Kotlin and
• Write technical designs for features that span on-device apps, cloud services, and Toast hardware
• Build reliable background services that run on devices with little to no user interaction, and
• Lead Android application upgrades in support of new Toast Hardware and Android OS upgrades for our
• Raise the quality bar by expanding our end-to-end automated testing on real Toast hardware with
• Lead the investigation of complex production issues across the fleet, and partner with Customer

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of Android application development experience.
• Proficient in a modern object-oriented programming language such as Kotlin or Java.
• Deep experience with standard Android architecture patterns & libraries such as Hilt, AndroidX
• Solid understanding of Android application and service lifecycles, background work, and
• Experience leading a cross-functional project with multiple engineers, product, QA, & design
• Proven ability to debug complex issues across the app, framework, and OS layers using tools such as
