Senior Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Build and maintain core Go components on GCP for the Athena clearing house.
• Own features/subsystems from design through production with tests and observability.
• Collaborate with staff and principal engineers to implement scalable patterns.
• Implement backend systems that parse unstructured data into structured outputs.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Lead multi-engineer efforts over a multi-month horizon on core subsystems.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid backend engineering foundation with production systems shipped/maintained.
• Strong Go engineering skills; GCP and Terraform experience.
• Navigate unstructured data problems with a methodical approach.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation.
• Able to scope and drive features independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience with customer-facing APIs or workflow systems is a plus.
