Senior Software Engineer, Back-end (Fraud)

📋 Description

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Design and implement real-time fraud decisioning services and APIs in Python or Kotlin.
• Build platform and tooling to launch fraud decisioning in new markets quickly with repeatable setups.
• Integrate region-specific risk vendors and operationalize ML/AI signals for real-time decisioning.
• Collaborate with Product, ML, Analytics, and Fraud Strategy to balance risks and trade-offs.
• Support on-call rotation and keep systems available.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development in Python or Kotlin.
• Experience with distributed systems and AWS, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
• Strong system design and maintainable, extensible services.
• Fluency with AI-driven engineering; using tools like Claude Code and AI-assisted PRs.
• Proficiency in SQL and data-rich environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and safe production deployments.
