Senior Software Engineer, Back-end (Fraud)

📋 Description

• You will own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Design and implement real-time fraud decisioning services and APIs in Python or Kotlin for markets beyond the US.
• Build the platform and tooling to launch fraud decisioning in new countries quickly and scalably.
• Integrate region-specific fraud vendors and operationalize ML/AI signals powering real-time decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Machine Learning, Analytics, and Fraud Strategy across the lifecycle.
• Support operations and availability by monitoring metrics and contributing to on-call efforts.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience in Python or Kotlin
• Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure using AWS, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes
• Strong system design and maintainable, extensible services
• Fluency with AI-driven engineering and AI tooling (Claude Code); co-authored PRs with AI
• Proficiency in SQL and data-rich environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD and safe production deployments
