Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Coinbase One)

📋 Description

• Own the design, development, and operation of backend services powering the Coinbase One membership
• Build scalable platform capabilities that enable targeted benefit delivery, promotional incentives
• Partner with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to scope, ship, and iterate on
• Drive backend architecture decisions for the Coinbase One product area, establishing patterns for
• Improve service reliability, observability, and performance across Coinbase One's backend stack

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with a track record of shipping
• Demonstrated experience building subscription, payments, or commerce systems, including recurring
• Proficiency in Go or a similar backend systems language (Java, C++, Rust) with demonstrated ability
• Proven ability to design and maintain APIs and distributed systems that integrate across multiple
• Track record of taking ambiguous projects from scoping through production with minimal oversight
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs
