Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Cost Engineering)

📋 Description

• Lead engineers to deliver quarterly goals and solve open-ended problems
• Support the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and
• Proactively identify and lead efforts to solve project, process, technology, or business issues
• Support operations and availability of team's artifacts through metrics, escalation, and on-call
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership through setting/improving code review and design standards
• Help develop talent by providing feedback and guidance

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python
• Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• Experience supporting scale up/down of large-scale sales events (e.g., Prime Day, Black Friday
• Experience tuning autoscaling, CPU/Memory, and multi-threading for compute-type workloads
• Experience defining technical plans for significant features with elegant, simple, and extensible
• Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base with safe practices and tools
