Senior Software Engineer - Billing Platform

📋 Description

• Own medium-sized projects end-to-end from design through launch and operation
• Build federated, distributed billing systems that meter, rate, and invoice usage
• Shape billing strategy for AI products in partnership with Cortex AI
• Use AI as a first-class collaborator in development, code review, debugging, and on-call triage
• Own reliability and correctness, participate in on-call and drive systemic fixes
• Be the go-to expert for one or more billing components and mentor other engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building large-scale production distributed systems
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems: consistency, fault tolerance, idempotency, exactly-once
• Strong fundamentals in databases and data modeling, SQL fluency, schema design, performance tuning
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, or Go
