📋 Description

• Shape the future of AI for data engineering—build intelligent data systems across organizations.
• Design and engineer the brain of Astronomer’s context layer for data modeling, semantic search, and
• Push the boundaries of applied AI with LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval techniques for developer
• Turn research into product—collaborate with R&D and product teams to bring AI concepts to life.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years of software engineering experience with Python or Go
• Empathy for users and desire to improve data professionals’ workflows
• Comfort with ambiguity in early-stage product development
• Experience with LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, or other applied AI areas
• Creative, experimental mindset and willingness to iterate
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to explain complex systems
