Senior Software Engineer, Compute (Temporal Cloud)

📋 Description

• Create new managed compute primitives for Temporal Cloud.
• Design autoscaling systems to scale worker fleets safely.
• Define the Open Source server–cloud boundary for compute.
• Architect, build, and operate services on the hot path of task execution.
• Deliver cloud integrations: IAM boundaries, credentials, networking, quotas, failures.
• Make operability a feature: SLOs, tracing, metrics, load testing, incidents.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience building distributed systems or multi-tenant platforms.
• Strong systems fundamentals: concurrency, performance, reliability, failure modes.
• Track record shipping platform primitives (APIs, control planes, data planes).
• Comfort owning outcomes: SLOs, incident response, improving on-call quality.
• Excellent written communication; Go experience is a plus; judgment matters.
