Senior Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate core developer infra services (CI, builds, test).
• Improve metrics: reduce build/CI wall time, deploy speed and safety, test time.
• Own services end to end, including SLOs, observability, and on-call.
• Partner with Coinbase teams to turn pain points into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects to production.
• Mentor engineers and shape the platform's technical direction.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating production software; distributed systems; Go.
• Track record shipping high-impact backend/platform systems with ownership.
• Strong operational instincts — reliability, security, and observability; production-first.
• Clear communication and ability to drive projects across teams.
• Customer-focused mindset: measure success by impact to engineers.
• Nice to have: developer-infra experience, CI/CD, build tooling.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker/OCI.
