Senior Software Engineer — Embedded C / Firewall Client

📋 Description

• Maintain and extend the CFS client in SonicOS across control/data planes.
• Own the binary UDP protocol between firewall and CFS rating servers.
• Develop and maintain IPv4 and IPv6 support across code paths.
• Own firmware upgrade/migration paths; ensure atomic, fail-safe.
• Improve inter-blade cache synchronization on multi-blade appliances.
• Collaborate asynchronously with US and India teams on protocol changes.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-level C (not C++): memory management, pointers, systems design.
• Multi-core concurrency in C: locks, atomics, memory ordering.
• Kernel-level networking: packet flow in dataplane; TCP/UDP processing.
• Education & Experience: 8+ years; degree preferred.
• Strong IPv4 and IPv6 across all code paths.
• Experience with network testing tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, GDB.
