Senior Software Engineer II, AI Native, Experimentation  ML

📋 Description

• Design and build APIs/services for experimentation and personalization.
• Use AI tools (Claude Code) to orchestrate specs, code, tests, reviews.
• Define AI-Native engineering playbooks for the org.
• Build backend services delivering fast, scalable experiences to millions.
• Collaborate with product managers and data teams to solve complex problems.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years backend software engineering
• Java & Spring Boot proficiency
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming
• Distributed systems concepts: consistency, fault tolerance, replication
• AWS and containerized deployments
• Heav y use of agentic workflows; 1+ year prompting LLMs

Nice-to-Have

• Experimentation/A/B testing platforms experience
• Recommendation/personalization or ML-serving systems
• Stream processing frameworks (Kafka Streams, Flink)
• Schema registries/evolution strategies
• Confluent Platform/Cloud knowledge
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog)

AI-Native Expectations

• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) for real tasks
• AI-generated code receives same review as any PR; you own it
• Velocity: leverage AI to move faster without sacrificing quality
• Team leadership: share best practices and help others adopt AI workflows
• Continuous learning: stay current and propose improvements
