Senior Software Engineer II (Python, Payments)

📋 Description

• Own backend systems end-to-end—from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Build and maintain services to support real-world transaction flows reliably.
• Design and evolve APIs that are scalable, resilient, and easy to integrate.
• Collaborate with engineers to define solutions and make sound technical decisions.
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, bugs, and edge cases in production.
• Mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and raise code quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years building production systems; at least 3 years Python.
• Hybrid setup; Kraków or Gdańsk offices 2–3x per week.
• Proficient in Python and Django, FastAPI, or Flask; end-to-end ownership.
• Experience building and consuming APIs; understands system communication and scale.
• SQL and NoSQL experience; analyze data and write efficient queries.
• AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform; production-ready code; English B2.
