Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Engineering

📋 Description

• Partner closely with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers
• Own the full software lifecycle for major product initiatives from technical design docs and API
• Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments with tools like BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase to make
• Build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) and distributed backend services optimized
• Establish engineering best practices, improve developer workflows, mentor teammates, and use
• Work with the team to select, scope, and drive high leverage projects that align with Reddit's goals

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably with a focus on machine
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages; Golang
• Experience with essential cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, IC/CD, AWS, GCP)
• Hands-on experience implementing features, optimizations, and bug fixes to distributed messaging
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders in engineering, data science
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field
