Senior Software Engineer, Instacart Business

📋 Description

• Holistically own and lead major workstreams within the team, from inception to launches.
• Influence direction and roadmap with strong technical vision and product sense.
• Produce high-quality technical artifacts (design docs, runbooks).
• Contribute high-quality code and code reviews for the team.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and proactively identify/address production issues.
• Elevate the team overall through mentoring other engineers and driving improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven industry experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit to deliver launches/results.
• Strong product sense and willingness to think deeply about areas that advance the team and roadmap.
• Collaborative mindset to partner with engineers, designers and PMs from multiple teams.
• Expertise in one or more backend languages (Ruby, Java, Python).
