Senior Software Engineer, New Products

📋 Description

• Build and ship new products end to end, integrating with Buildkite's platform
• Drive design and prototyping with in-person whiteboarding early on
• Work with databases at scale and external APIs (e.g., GitHub)
• Collaborate with the team in SF and with remote Australian colleagues
• Shape product direction from a blank page

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software
• Proven success shipping code at scale (1M+ users or 100k+ enterprise)
• Strong CS fundamentals: system design, data structures, algorithms
• Experience in large codebases and building developer tooling
• Working knowledge of databases at scale and integrating third-party APIs
• Fluency with agentic coding tools and delivering quality work quickly
