Senior Software Engineer, Notifications

📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship experiments across onboarding, activation, retention, and notifications.
• Architect and scale distributed systems for millions of users with high availability.
• Partner with PMs and data scientists to translate growth hypotheses into designs.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence across the team.
• Balance speed with rigor; determine when to run light tests vs durable features.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend/full-stack fundamentals (Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, React, or equivalent).
• Experience with experimentation platforms (flags, A/B tests, statistical tooling).
• Track record of shipping iteratively and learning from real user data.
• Strong collaboration with PMs, designers, and data scientists; clear trade-offs.
• Growth mindset: curious about why something worked or didn't.
