Senior Software Engineer, Observability

📋 Description

• Design and build high-performance components of the metrics stack in Go and Rust on top of
• Use AI tools and agents in daily development and operations work, and help shape how the team works
• Enhance and optimize Roku's observability stack while introducing Roku-specific features and
• Work with the Platform team to identify, standardize, and improve observability tools as part of a
• Invest in making the observability platform more stable, performant, and reliable
• Build automation around observability tools to simplify onboarding for developers (dashboards

🎯 Requirements

• Approximately 8 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering and/or DevOps with a focus on
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and agents in day-to-day development, and building with Large
• Approximately 4 years of programming experience in Go and/or Rust
• Experience designing and operating observability platforms processing massive amounts of data
• Expertise in deploying and extending open-source observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and OpenMetrics standards
