Senior Software Engineer, Onboard Autonomy

📋 Description

• Develop, integrate, and deploy onboard autonomy features for vehicle systems with real-time
• Build and ship autonomy behaviors: navigation, obstacle avoidance, lane/route following, docking
• Work on on-device pipelines (camera, lidar, radar, IMU, GNSS) and ensure sensor synchronization
• Optimize performance for latency, CPU/GPU, memory, and power on embedded compute (e.g., NVIDIA
• Design safety and fallback strategies: health monitoring, degraded modes, watchdogs, safe-stop, and
• Collaborate with perception, mapping/localization, controls, hardware, and systems teams to ship

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering in C++ and/or Rust (Python acceptable as a supporting language).
• Experience shipping on-device software with embedded Linux and real-time-ish systems.
• Understanding of autonomy fundamentals: planning, localization, controls, and interfaces.
• Experience with robotics middleware/tools (ROS/ROS2, pub/sub, gRPC, DDS).
• Proficiency with debugging/performance tools (gdb/llb, perf, flamegraphs, profiling GPU workloads
• Strong testing discipline: unit/integration tests, simulation/HIL concepts, safe rollout practices.
