Senior Software Engineer, Online Storage

📋 Description

• Serve as the Toronto site tech lead for Storage and Search domains.
• Guide engineers with day-to-day technical direction across teams.
• Evolve OpenSearch, search APIs, and Global Search into a unified platform.
• Modernize storage stack for multi-region expansion (Aurora RDS, Elasticache, MemoryDB, DynamoDB, S3).
• Drive cell isolation to prevent cross-cell failures and improve DR readiness.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across Toronto teammates.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering, with platform or infrastructure focus.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed storage: Aurora RDS, Elasticache/MemoryDB, DynamoDB, S3.
• Designing/operating search infrastructure (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch) at scale.
• Track record delivering large infra projects end-to-end with quality and clear communication.
• Leadership through design reviews and mentorship.
