Senior Software Engineer, Payments

📋 Description

• Build and own backend services and APIs for policy, coverage, enrollment and regional rules that
• Translate regional regulatory and product requirements into configurable, reusable platform
• Implement experimentation hooks, logging and metrics so Product and Data Science can test offers
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Legal and other engineering teams to prioritize the
• Use data to find gaps in conversion and reliability, and drive fixes and improvements.
• Mentor engineers and champion best practices in code quality, testing and operational excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–9+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building and scaling backend platforms in a
• Proficiency in backend development in Java, Kotlin, Python, Go or similar.
• Experience architecting high-scale services and APIs, with working knowledge of relational
• Experience with A/B testing or experimentation systems, and using data to drive product decisions.
• Experience in insurance, payments, fintech or other regulated domains is a plus.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and collaborate deeply with cross-functional teams.

🎁 Benefits

• Base pay range: $195,000 — $220,000 USD
