Senior Software Engineer (Python) - Supply & Demand

📋 Description

• Lead the technical direction to generalise the S&D data model across commodities.
• Evolve the ETL framework into a reusable foundation for all commodity verticals.
• Own publication reliability end-to-end: anomaly guardrail and data quality.
• Raise non-functional bar for Python engine, TS APIs, and Airflow.
• Shape external APIs contracts: versioning, pagination, compatibility.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers; own incident response and prevention.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with production systems.
• Deep experience building data-intensive backends in Python (ETL/orchestration, SQL/Postgres).
• Experience owning production systems: on-call, observability, incident response.
• Experience setting technical direction for a team; trusted to make hard design decisions.
• Desirable: Airflow (or comparable orchestration) and TypeScript/NestJS APIs; polyglot Python+TS.
• Desirable: domain data models, data quality/anomaly-detection; IaC/GitOps (Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes) and versioned external APIs.
