Senior Software Engineer, Roku Playback Engineering

📋 Description

• Contribute to the design and implementation of software solutions for Roku video player development
• Collaborate on the definition and development of technical solutions that improve existing features
• Identify performance bottlenecks and areas of improvement in the codebase that impact user
• Maintain high coding standards and follow best practices in Typescript and Brightscript
• Participate in design and code reviews, providing feedback to ensure high-quality Roku product

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience developing in Typescript and/or Brightscript.
• Experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing Roku or other consumer TV based applications.
• Contributions to Typescript and/or Brightscript solutions that serve millions of global users.
• Worked closely with product and program management to support technology roadmaps and project goals.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior engineers and team leads to drive Roku
• Sound judgment to balance trade-offs between performance, scalability, and user experience.
